Heathrow Terminal 5 is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from The Lodge. The 442 bus stops around 100 yards away and runs regularly to and from Terminal 5, while private airport pick-up and drop-off can also be arranged.

A little piece of English history
Stanwell has a history stretching back centuries. In 1215, the village is traditionally associated with the barons who opposed King John before the sealing of Magna Carta at nearby Runnymede.
The village also has a connection with the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Lord Knyvett, who played a central role in the discovery of the plot and the arrest of Guy Fawkes, held lands in Stanwell and is buried in the nearby Church of St Mary the Virgin, just a few hundred yards from The Lodge.
The name Stanwell may itself derive from St Anne's Well, an ancient spring traditionally associated with healing waters. The well survives today, only a short walk from The Lodge.
Village life on your doorstep
You don't need to stay inside an airport complex. Stanwell has local pubs within walking distance, including The Five Bells and The Rising Sun, while the bells of historic St Mary's can still be heard across the village.
The Lodge is also well placed for Windsor, Runnymede, Staines-upon-Thames and Thorpe Park, with onward connections into Central London.
